You can drive straight to the ranch for your working ranch vacation or if you’re near by come say howdy! We’re located just half an hour from Lovell near the Wyoming/Montana border surrounded with amazing views and authentic cowboy scenery. See some of the amazing views that real cowboys would have seen all those years ago. If you decided to drive, there are roads that lead directly to the ranch, with plenty of space to park onsite.
The TX Ranch provides transportation for all working ranch vacation guests at no cost from two locations in Billings, Montana. Sunday is our transport day. We meet our guests in Billings between 5:00-5:30pm. We will return to Billings the following Saturday between 11:30am-12:00pm. If you want to stay in Billings, please inform the motel receptionist at Best Western Clock Tower Inn that you are a TX Ranch guest and you will receive a special ranch discount! For added convenience you may keep your luggage at motel lobby until our scheduled Sunday meeting time.

Please keep in mind that spring and fall weather can be cold, cool or windy. To keep our horses happy and safe, saddle items should be non-floppy, knots must stay snug and secure, and coats should be non-floppy and fit snuggly.We have a full list of items we suggest you should bring here.
Our authentic, scenic cow camps are set up to make you feel like part of the family and one of the cowboys. Make yourself at home in our log cabin—we offer wholesome, home-cooked, ranch-style meals, fresh drinking water on tap, and hot and cold drink mixes. Camping-style outbuildings include facilities for showering and toilets. You’ll sleep in outfitter-style canvas wall tents, each with a heat stove, on good sturdy cots with thick foam mattress pads. Everything is set up for you to relax and enjoy the pleasures of camping in a scenic, remote, open-range setting. We’ll see you soon.

It is located in privately owned, open-range country stretching between the gorgeous Pryor Mountains on down to the Big Horn Canyon and its breathtaking overlook.
