Wholesome, ranch-style meals are home-cooked and served in a log cabin. The TX has been in the guest ranch business for over 35 years, long before the film City Slickers ever hit the big screen. Our cow camps are set up in an outdoor camping-style atmosphere. Canvas wall tents are provided and include your cot with a good mattress pad and a wood burning stove if desired, with wood provided in camp. Setup in camp includes a wash table with wash basins, a small wooden shower house, and an outhouse facility. Fresh water tanks are provided near the cabin area for your personal use and for drinking. Excellent home-cooked meals are prepared in a log cabin at each camp. Evenings are often spent around the campfire under myriad stars and listening to coyotes howling in the distance.

We’re not in Texas! The TX Ranch straddles the Montana/Wyoming border. Its privately owned range begins on either side of the Pryor Mountains, stretching for miles on down to the Big Horn Canyon and its breathtaking overlook! The ranch borders the historical “Will James Ranch” and the “Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range” for which “Lloyd Tillett” helped establish the herd. On the map, we’re located between Billings, Montana and Lovell, Wyoming.

Our authentic, scenic cow camps are set up to make you feel like part of the family and one of the cowboys. Make yourself at home in our log cabin—we offer wholesome, home-cooked, ranch-style meals, fresh drinking water on tap, and hot and cold drink mixes. Camping-style outbuildings include facilities for showering and toilets. You’ll sleep in outfitter-style canvas wall tents, each with a heat stove, on good sturdy cots with thick foam mattress pads. Everything is set up for you to relax and enjoy the pleasures of camping in a scenic, remote, open-range setting. We’ll see you soon!
